Karl, answering your question on the actual certification:
Ah, Sweet Home Taxachusetts! Nah, we're saving tons of money by not claiming residency out there as there's no income tax in Washington.
I had not seriously thought about a "real" marriage certificate, assuming that for us standing up in front of our pals and then hiring a lawyer would be it.
Vic, however, is heavy to get a state-sponsored document, which means we're likely heading to the Great North of Canada, home of poutine and gay marriage. Two great tastes that taste great together!
